One of the inmates in Russ's book was my direct supervisor in the US Navy. Lt. Andrew Charbrol. I worked at Norfolk/Optevfor in the master at arms office. Charbrol was my supervisor for a year and his office was about 20 feet from mine. One time I made a mistake and did something I should not have done. Lt. Charbrol took my mistake and made it a personal offense against him. He told me that growing up in the Virgin Islands in elementary school that a classmate took an eraser from him and he, "went berserk" on the kid until the kid relented, and was basically unconscious. If I were female, I probably would've ended up dead at his hands, somehow. I found the information on his crimes and execution accidentally. I was surprised that all of this had occurred, but not surprised that he could do something like this. 😮😮 I wish I could talk with Russ and find out how the bad lieutenant was in his final time on earth. I ordered the book and should get it in a few days.
